ACN business scam

Postby notoscam on Thu Mar 04, 2010 12:43 pm

Why this ACN scheme is scam:

To become ACN distributor you must pay $499.00. Then you are representative, cannot earn bonus commissions. To be eligible to earn bonus commissions you must acquire new customers and a number of new representatives.

Meanwhile, MLM statistics show that most (over 96%) of distributors sponsor no more than 2 new people into MLM. Thie means that most people will never "make it"!

So, if you are not great MLM-leader, just forget it.

Hey, you can't say that ACN is a scam just because it is difficult to "make it". I know, maybe ACN has an outdated compensation plan but there's a huge step between a serious company, and a scam or fraud, these are very hard words. I think if you make a great work, you will make money on ACN and in all serious MLM companies. In a pyramid scheme or in any other scammy network, you will loose your investment and your effort, no mater what you do and how much you work!
I hope this comment helps a little bit to clear some concepts.
Have a nice day

From my research, including BBB, ACN does not appear to be any kind of scam. The MLM opportunity is real, IF you are willing to work. Lazy people need not apply. Lazy people with a sense of entitlement expect to sit back and have money falling from the sky like some government welfare program. This is a real business opportunity for anyone, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, age. You just have to be willing to get out there and work! And that IS the American dream!

User, be very aware of the terrible customer service when considering switching to ACN! I have been attempting to contact a person at ACN regarding the lack of serivce. it is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of anybody!!! It's only their usual automated voice msgs and nobody ever gets back to you.

I finally was able to speak to a real person on September 22nd and cancelled my services - phone lines. Phillipe, agent nr 5081 even gave me a confirmation nr (#7527138), but guess what??? They keep sending me bills!!!

Now they are sending me threatening letters stating that they will notify collections about this so called outstanding balance! They never sign their letters, no one ever places their names to any of their correspondence.

I would appreciate it if anyone out there can please give me the name of a real person from this deplorable, unreliable and inscrupulous company - ACN, from P.O. Box 720 Station B Montreal QC.

Again, DO NOT sign up with anybody even remotely involved with this company - ACN. They cannot be relied upon; they NEVER get back to you and it's impossible to communicate with them. They only will accept the old fashioned way - written letters, with postage stamp. No such thing as e-mail or phone call with an agent. Good luck!!!

Steer clear from ACN!!!!!

Remosefully I did sign up and am stuck trying to get them to speak with me regarding their claims that I have an outstanding balance.

Yours very peeved off,

I was so turned off by ACN after the pressure to attend ALL Saturday meetings, Monday/Friday/Sunday conference calls because I was annoyed by the Regional Director, Tony Phunenavong (spelling?) in the bay area. i don't even know this guy and he was giving me the wrong impression from the get-go. Oh yeah, this guy has the worst halotosis ever! Chew a mint or gum when you know you'll be talking to people! he kept pressuring me to sign up for 2 accounts right then and there. hello, pressure! Then he calls the next day and tells me to sign up because the business is "hot". ADVICE: NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR NUMBER -- TAKE THEIRS AND SAY YOU'LL CALL THEM WHEN YOU ARE READY!!

I felt like it was high school all over again..the pressure to call your family and friends to be your Customer or be a Representative. he makes it feel like you have to force them to become one or the other. who does that anyway. everything is all hype..the blast the music to pump you up and always end their lines with, "don't you agree?!!!" don't get me wrong, optimism is great but they over it and Tony P especially. I was introduced to to him via a neighbor who attend the saturday "trainings" -- from what i've seen, it is basically different representatives repeating the same thing over and over. really??... why don't you tell me something that i have't heard from last week. The catch with residual income is that these people have to keep signing up with your business year after year in order for you to even benefit from a % of their bill. i was told that you should "encourage" them to get multiple lines on their phones, add packages because the more they pay, the more you get. So, you're basically getting a family/friend into a bigger debt so you can benefit. so wrong and shame on you Tony Phunavong!

anyway, the business has multiples stages..after you pay $499, you have to recruit an additional 3 downlines, who then have to recruit their 3+ downlines, and so on. THEN you can move up on the heirarchy. The sketchy part when i attended a home PBR is that they give you a list of things NOT TO SAY TO FRIEND AND FAMILY...ummm, can we say shady!!? my family told me to stop investing time into ACN because it wasn't worth it. i rather stay in the corporate world and be around normal people, and enjoy life and get my saturdays and evenings back than to always worry about getting the next person to sign up for the business. i rather live my life happy and remembering every moment as it comes than to neglect my family, friends and peresonal life because my ears are glued to a phone making calls to get the next friend to waste their $499 on this so-called get rich quick business. My advice - find a job where you're really going to be taken care of, have a medical benefits and a 401k where you can really invest in your future.
